I can't believe I've really got this movie...

.
This is such a gorgeous and touching film, I felt it from the very first minute.
And there is even the luxury of English subtitles
. Incredible.

Having this piece of art makes me cry with gratitude. Thank you so much, Mark...

My passion for boys' shoes

.
I got myself these great brogues by Loake on ebay.uk, for around 10 pounds, which is a laugh!
They look all too lovely with blue or grey drainpipes (I'll show you later).
Size 6.5 fits perfectly but these shoes are a cruel misstress. I wore them on my day out in Berlin last Saturday and got some HUGE blisters on my heels, so my friend gave me a spray to soften the leather, which worked wonders. Now I own the world's most comfortable brogues :)

I think I also need a black pair of them. It seems I like them even better than winklepickers.

Yes, and because sometimes all you need in life is Velvet Underground...

Effigy Corset

Original Elizabethan Corset, England around 1590

The fashion of the Elizabethan Age intended to shape the body geomatrically.
A corset was made to mold the torso into a cylindrical shape and flatten the breast.

Mischa Barton

.
I didn't like her face and hair in the past, just couldn't understand what people love about her. Sort of a pigface I thought, and she doesn't really look good with blond hair, imho.
But... yesterday I saw a reportage about her on TV, and well, now I can't help loving her look.
And, of course, I want her hair.

...

I can't wait to have my hair dyed in summer. I wonder if I'll be able to bear all the waiting. My hair is definitely not long enough.
I can't bear staying blond either.

Finally it's him...

Charles IX. of France
Charles de Valois

Btw.... I will have to wait a few months longer as my hair is not long enough to look good in a different colour, but my decision is set.
I'm going to dye my hair a not too dark reddish brown as soon as possible and cut a straight fringe again.
I want it to look like that:

Lori Earley

I've come up with the idea that historical/fantasy-historical neckwear would look even greater around such a gorgeous long neck....

I love her work, btw.
